
Fredrik Elwing

Fredrik Elwing has extensive experience in banking, private equity and, most prominently, real assets and in particular, real estate from some of the world's leading financial institutions. He is the founder of Diem Capital Advisors, a firm offering strategic and capital formation advice to private equity and real estate investors. He also serves as a Senior Advisor to Maya Capital in the UK and ShelterRock Capital in the US.
Fredrik started his banking career in 1986 by joining the corporate finance department of Salomon Brothers in London. He subsequently worked for both Credit Suisse First Boston and Lehman Brothers in the Private Client Services groups before making the move into real estate, in 1998, when he joined Security Capital Group (SCG), a listed US real estate company with significant investments in Europe. In 2001, after SCG had been sold to GE, he joined Credit Suisse Group as Global Co-Head of the Real Estate Private Fund Group and in 2010 Greenhill & Co. where he was responsible for the European activities of the Private Capital Advisory Group, including capital advisory assignments within real estate (equity and debt), infrastructure, corporate credit and private equity. Fredrik in 2014 joined EQT, the Swedish private equity group, to implement real estate as a new investment category.
Fredrik has a BA from the Stockholm School of Economics and an MBA from INSEAD.
